Job Description

Areas USA MSP is looking for a Field Human Resources Manager for restaurants at Minneapolis St Paul International Airport. Job functions include administering human resources policies, programs and practices as dictated by internal needs in the field, union contracts and or applicable State/Federal employment law. Works directly with the Executive Director of Human Resources while partnering with location's General Manager using diversified knowledge and skills in all aspects of HR. Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists the management team in the field with HR processes and policies.
2. Coordinates and schedules New Hire Orientation for all location employees.
3. Provides company training of the Associate Handbook and/or CBA
4. Assists the Regional HR Manager, General Manager and/or Exec HR Director with union relations, grievance and other union issues.
5. Represents or coordinates with management team for unemployment phone hearings.
6. Assists the Corporate HR Office with information requested for unemployment claims, leave of absences, workers compensation cases, etc.
7. Assists the Corporate Payroll Manager with payroll processing for the location as well as payroll deductions, status changes from part time to full time, etc.
8. Assists with reporting work related injuries, follow ups, and provides information requested if the injury becomes a worker's compensation claim.
9. Conducts HR investigations with the direction of the Regional HR Manager.
10. Ensures that all HR forms are filled out correctly by the management team in the field.
11. Keeps personnel files organized, secured and in compliance with federal guidelines.
12. Assists in benefits open enrollment coordination and any ongoing benefits issues.
13. Assists management in the annual performance review appraisal process.
14. Assists the Director of Talent Acquisition and Development with the coordination of recruitment efforts including job fairs and job postings, as well as with the coordination with management and completion of associate trainings.
15. Assists the management team with processes leading to recruitment of associates, terminations, progressive discipline, promotions, etc.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Bachelor degree preferred in Human Resources or related field, with 5 years of working in an HR managerial position. Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, self sufficient and motivated, team-approach toward resolution of problems and providing services. Computer literate: Windows, knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
