Job Description

Areas USA MDTP is now hiring a Retail Manager for the Maryland House Travel Plaza on the Maryland Turnpike. The Retail Manager is responsible for maintaining outstanding guest service as per Company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, cash register operations and safeguarding company assets. Duties and Responsibilities:
*Manage employee's daily systems and procedures.
*Train and coach sales associates.
*Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest.
* Maintain a neat and organized appearance - following company dress code guidelines.
* Maintaining outstanding standards, and solid product knowledge.
* Maintain all aspects of GUEST service following all company and airport policies and procedures.
* Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
* Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and accurately maintain all cash and media at the registers. Effectively assists Sales Associates in this procedure also.
* Complete shift paperwork. Enter all media from register into the tally sheet.
* Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked.
* Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by any manager.
Candidate must be available for evening and early morning hours

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor Degree in Hospitality, Communications, Management or related field preferred or Associates Degree with at least three years of front of the house operations and or assistant management positions.
2. Have knowledge of service and retail
3. Must be minimum 21 years of age.
4. Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the trading area.
5. Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
6. Must have the ability to lead a team to reach organizational objectives and goals.
7. Must be able to work with diverse population
