Job Description

AREAS is now hiring a VP of Airport Operations overseeing restaurants and retail for our properties across the country. This position will be based out of our corporate office located in Miami. The VP of Airport Operations oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation in airport locations at Areas. Responsibilities

1. Assists with developing business strategies to reach organizational goals and objectives.
2. Reviews staffing and budget guidelines in conjunction with annual financial statements.
3. Acts as corporate representative for public relations activities as needed.
4. Ability to direct all areas covering rent, store placement, common area charges, advertising and marketing.
5. Work with team members to ensure quality storefronts and timely store openings.
6. Resolve design issues and verify that submittals comply with Airport design criteria.
7. Responsible for setting strategy and execution of day-to-day operations.
8. Execute the current business strategy that anticipates rapid growth.
9. Interface with Legal, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Business Development, Finance and other business units in the daily affairs of the operation.

Supervisory Responsibilities

1. Develops and maintains an effective organization through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination and evaluation of personnel at management and associate levels.
2. Provides guidance and direction to management employees to assist in their professional development.

Job Requirements

1.Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality or related field, Masters Degree a Plus.
2.Preferred 10+ plus years of experience in upper management of food, beverage and retail operations handling multiple locations.
3.Extensive travel involved.
4.Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and diverse populations.
5.Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and other associated software.
6.Be able to lead a team of employees to reach company goals.
7.Possess excellent strategic management skills.
8.Oral and Written Communication Skills
